Productive meetings on current groundwater modeling approaches have taken place at Jožef Stefan Institute. Dr. Christos Pouliaris, hydrologist from DEYASK on the Greek island of Skiathos, is on secondment here and together with Petra Pergar, partner from Urban Institute of Ljubljana, Anja Polajnar and Mojca Kregar, both partners from Jožef Stefan Insitute, they discussed progress of the use cases on groundwater and storm water flow in Ljubljana Aquifer and water consumption case of the Greek island of Skiathos.
The main focus of the meetings was to go through and discuss the process of developing models associated with the Water4Cities platform that will allow monitoring of the urban water-resources in real time. This will enable optimizing water management causing minimal environmental impact.
More information about the project is available at Water4Cities.
