NAIADES aims to address the increased need for sustainable and eco-friendly water methodologies by defining a new ICT framework. Driven by the need to yield an end-to-end, uniform approach, NAIADES redefines water management by taking into consideration issues pertaining to cost, safety, complexity, vulnerability, societal acceptance, user behaviour and ethics.
Did you know that NAIADES involves 3 pilot sites?
The proposed ecosystem and business framework developed in NAIADES will be validated through demonstrations in Alicante (Spain), Brăila (Romania) and Carouge (Switzerland). The operational properties of the technologies and overall solution will be validated and evaluated against performance, effectiveness, acceptability & usability indicators and cost. Use cases will be supported by different evaluation methodologies, which will be classified according to the operation mode i.e. sewage and waste water treatment and recycling, water quality of public water sources etc.
This January NAIADES participated in the ICT for water series of webinars regarding FIWARE, standardization procedures, and common data models for water data exchange across digital platforms.
